The official site of the Scott Geertsen & Tamara Quinton wedding

It all started back in the 7th grade at Albion Middle School where we both met. Right from the start we noticed each other and became good friends. Tamara, as cute and popular as she was, would even pass Scott notes in Seminary class and in the hallways. Unfortunately for Scott at that time the notes he received from Tamara contained messages of interest in his friends and how cute she thought they were. This did not discourage Scott at all and was quite amused she would even pass him notes. If she only knew just how much he admired her...to this day he still has these notes in his possession. Later Tamara admitted that she simply passed the notes to Scott as a way of breaking the ice to become friends with him. She knew this could be a way to get through his shyness. After Middle School we parted ways and went to different high schools slightly forgetting our newly found friendship. However destined to be, we would see and run into each other renting movies, at track meets and other sporting events.
After Scott returned home from his mission in 1996, we both ran into each other once again at our singles ward. We went out together as friends here and there and sometimes would get together with mutual friends to do things. Our friendship continued to grow and develop through the passing years. We shared many special talks and experiences together that have created and formed a very unique bond between us.
One particular night together not too long ago, we took a drive up to “the rock”(a huge rock which overlooks the valley where we spent countless hours together talking…Yes, only talking!), where many changes have taken place in our friendship. It was there that night we shared our first kiss, a simple yet powerful kiss. Not knowing what would happen afterward, if our friendship would take an awkward twist, etc. we both found ourselves very caught up in the moment. We felt something that night like never before! Call it what you may but there is no doubt it was a kiss Heavenly Father had been preparing us for and planning on for some time! That moment will never be forgotten and how incredible the feeling was. Most amazingly, that was just the beginning. The feeling obviously did not die but has continued…
Over the years, in our individual lives we have faced challenges and difficulties life brings each one of us and found great comfort in the guiding and loving hand of our Heavenly Father. We have learned that it is through others he usually sends us our blessings. How grateful we are for each other and each of you who have blessed our lives in so many ways! We have both dreamed of the “fairy tale” love and romance we all see in the movies and hoped one day He would bring that to each of us. We have found that love in each other and know that it has been sent from above! There is no doubt that over the years He has prepared us for one another! Our hearts are so full of gratitude for the many blessings we have been given. We love you all very much and want to thank you for sharing this special time with us.
